Board Member
Deborah Scott grew up in Tulsa, in 1984 her family relocated to Houston where she graduated with her masters degree from the University of Texas School of Public Health. In the early 1990’s she established the Native American Health Coalition and began to study Cherokee history. In 1992 she helped to form the Cherokee Cultural Society which has since evolved to the Cherokee Citizens League of Southeast Texas, an at-large community. Now, she is back in Tulsa as a founding board member of the Cherokee Nation At-Large Mutual Assistance, Inc.
Board Member
Garry is a retiree after forty years with the Bureau of Indian Affairs, he started as a residential boarding school counselor for Jones Academy and culminating as a Branch Chief for Planning, Bureau of Indian Education, Washington, D.C. During his career he was a Jury Commissioner, Court of Indian Offenses in Northern California, honored as a commencement speaker at Dull Knife College, Montana and a college counselor with Haskell Indian Nations University in Kansas. He enjoys photography and riding in his Jeep on roads less traveled.
Board Member
Brandon is the current Vice President of Enterprise Communications at Cherokee Nation & Cherokee Nation Businesses. He specializes in crisis communication, media and public relations, and is responsible for creating, planning, and executing public relation strategies. He was formerly the Executive Editor for the Cherokee Phoenix, the first native newspaper founded in 1828 which continues to bring stories relevant to our tribal citizens to the forefront. He spent 7 years in publishing and has been a professional photographer since 2005.
Program Coordinator
Natalie grew up in Miami, OK and went to Northeastern State University where she received her Masters in Business Administration. She currently resides in Tulsa, OK where she works remotely as a marketing specialist in the healthcare space along with assisting CNALMA with their program operations.
