The Treaty of New Echota was signed on December 29, 1835, which led to the forced relocation of our people, the Trail of Tears. By donating $18.35, you honor that history and bring light to Cherokee families facing hardship today. Your gift says, “We belong to one another.” Together, we can continue to support each other, just as our ancestors did.
By giving each month, you help us to be able to anticipate a yearly cash flow that helps us to provide assistance to Cherokees in need that do not reside within Cherokee Nation making them ineligible for many assistance programs provided by the tribe itself.
With recurring donations, you will receive a tax receipt and it will automatically process on the same day each month so you can also anticipate and plan your financial assistance accordingly.
